Melissa believes that all students learn differently and tailors her program to the individual, always including all the elements that make a successful, complete and relaxed musician.

Melissa’s performance experience includes solo concerts with internationally known pianist Vladimir Odinakikh from Russia, various chamber ensembles, Romani band, jazz duo and freelance work.  Melissa has taught privately since 2008.  Students varying in age and ability from beginners to conservatory have successfully auditioned for: GMYS, VYO, Vermont All-State orchestra, New England Music Festival and university orchestras.  She is also an All State Music Festival adjudicator for all low strings.

Cellist Jiwon Lee is currently maintaining an active schedule as a soloist, chamber musician, and teacher.   She teaches all levels of students, including beginner to advanced cellists.  Jiwon insightfully guides students to play the cello according to the individual characteristics of each student by discovering and nurturing each student’s potential and strengths.

Suzanne brings 30 years of teaching experience to VT from Ann Arbor, MI. in 2016.  Degrees: Bachelor of Performance, Oberlin Conservatory / Masters in Music, State University of New York under Greenhouse. Other teachers: Richard Kapuscinski and Janos Starker.   What makes Cellochan unique is it’s teaching philosophy.  With a holistic approach to the artistic process, Suzanne helps students pursue excellence in the context of well being.  Frequent performance opportunities, ensemble coaching, improvisation, home concerts, and more.
