What is Elley-Long Giving Day?
Elley-Long Giving Day is part of the celebration of VYOA’s 25th Anniversary at Elley-Long Music Center. Gifts made that day will provide direct support to young musicians in all VYOA orchestra and jazz ensembles.
When is it?
Elley-Long Giving Day will be the 24 hours of Tuesday, Sept. 22. All donations made during those hours—no matter the time zone you live in—will be counted toward the Elley-Long Giving Day totals.
Where does Elley-Long Giving Day happen?
Everywhere! Elley-Long Giving Day happens online, so you can take part no matter where you live.
Why should I give to VYOA on Sept. 22?
Tuesday, September 22nd is your chance to make the most out of your gift to VYOA and show off your VYOA pride. Every donation will count toward matching gifts throughout the day.
Can I make a gift by phone?
Yes, you can donate at any time on Elley-Long Giving Day by calling 802-655-5030, ext. 101. Don’t worry – if no one picks up, leave a message and we’ll call you back within 24 hours (and yes – your donation will still count toward Elley-Long Giving Day).
Can I mail my gift?
Yes, you can mail your gift on or before September 22. Please make your check out to VYOA, and write “Elley-Long Giving Day” in the memo section. Checks may be mailed to 223 Ethan Allen Avenue, Colchester, VT 05446.
Is there a minimum gift amount?
All donations count toward Elley-Long Giving Day, however, we recommend a minimum donation of $5.
Are Elley-Long Giving Day contributions tax-deductible?
The VYOA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations to Elley-Long Giving Day are considered tax-deductible and an email receipt will be provided. We recommend you consult with your tax advisor for specific tax advice.
What if I already made a donation to VYOA this year?
First, thank you for your support! While we certainly would encourage you to consider another gift on Elley-Long Giving Day, your support in other ways is also appreciated. You can help in promoting Elley-Long Giving Day among your friends and family through our social media toolkit.
