What a tremendous success this season has been and we want to thank you for celebrating 60 years with us! As we reflect on this year, we are proud of our musicians and the commitment they’ve made to share their artistry with students and community members across Vermont. For instance, in addition to performing concerts at schools in Addison, Washington, and Chittenden Counties, they performed at the Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport, University Mall, Vergennes Opera House, Farmers Night at the Vermont State House, and the Moth Radio Hour.
This season we launched VYOA Jazz, our newest performing ensemble for high school jazz musicians. It featured both combos and a big band, presenting concerts that were exciting, impressive, and fun! We also expanded our offerings for families with very young children with Music Together classes that met for the entire year. Young families attending on Saturday morning had the wonderful opportunity to hear our jazz musicians while they were at Elley-Long Music Center.
We couldn’t do any of this without your support. In fact, 40% of our income comes from individual and foundation support. As we wrap up our 60th season, we are still $30,000 from meeting our year-end goal. Please help end the year strong by making a gift today. We your support!
