The Beginning Bassoon Boot Camp is intended for young musicians grades 5-10 who are brand-new to, or in their first year of learning, the bassoon. This camp will help jump start the growth on this instrument. The camp, led by VYOA Lesson Program teaching artist Molly Finkel, will take place in the Elley-Long Music Center on the following days:
Saturday and Sunday, September 20-21. 10am-12pm.
Students must provide their own bassoon either borrowed through their school program, or rented from a local music store such as Ellis Music in South Royalton. One bassoon reed will be provided by VYOA for this camp. Tuition for the camp is $200 and financial aid is available for qualifying families.
If you have questions about the Beginning Bassoon Boot Camp, you can direct them to mark@vyo.org.
Register before September 5 as spots are limited.
Financial Aid: The VYOA is committed to ensuring that no child is discouraged from participating due to financial circumstances. Need-based financial aid is available to all qualifying families with a combined household income up to $120,000 who wish to apply. You can find the 2025-26 online financial aid application here. Your most recent tax documents and a $50 deposit will need to accompany your application. Additional questions can be emailed to mark@vyo.org.
