Jonathan Kafumbe

Senior Soloist Jonathan Kafumbe fills The Flynn with golden tones of Hummel’s Trumpet Concerto for our favorite winter tradition: OrchestraPalooza. He says, “The VYO season is the only time during the year that I get to play in an orchestra of exceptional young talent, and that’s what makes it so unique and memorable. All the conductors I have worked with in the VYOA program have challenged me in ways that have helped me learn and grow as a classical trumpet player and musician.” OrchestraPalooza will feature all three of VYOA’s performing ensembles in a diverse program that includes audience favorites from The Nutcracker Suite and more, finally culminating in an all-ensemble performance of Sleigh Ride!
