On any given Sunday, you’ll find hundreds of young musicians entering the glass doors at Elley-Long Music Center. Strings tuning, brass warming up, the quiet excitement before the conductor’s downbeat – this is the heart of Vermont Youth Orchestra Association.
For over 60 years, families across Vermont, New Hampshire, and Upstate New York have trusted VYOA as a partner in music education. From toddlers discovering rhythm in early childhood programs to teens preparing for international concert tours, we offer opportunities for every level of musician.
And our impact extends far beyond the concert hall. VYOA ensembles spark inspiration in school gymnasiums, on State House steps, in community centers, and across Europe. Rooted in the Green Mountains yet connected to the world, our musicians learn not only to play with excellence but also to lead with heart. Wherever their journeys carry them, music will always be their companion.

Becoming a member of our Bravo Club by committing to making monthly contributions, and you can increase your giving and offer year-round support by making smaller monthly donations: allowing you to give more and make a greater impact. Consider this: if you already donate $100 annually to the VYOA, you could more than double that amount by simply committing to a gift of $20 per month.
