Auditions
Auditions for all VYOA ensembles are held annually in May at the Elley-Long Music Center at Saint Michael’s College. New students interested in joining the VYOA are welcome to audition during this period. Current members of all ensembles must audition in order to participate in the organization each season. We aim to offer placements within our range of ensembles to every student who auditions. The VYOA does not require any payment for the opportunity to audition.
In some circumstances, the VYOA may hear auditions at other times during the year. Please call the office to inquire about scheduling an audition that falls outside of the annual audition period.
Scheduling an Audition
All auditions are held by appointment only.
Current VYOA students will be assigned an audition date and time and will be notified by email of their appointment. The schedule for 2012-13 placement auditions will be announced in late March 2012.
New students interested in an audition can call the VYOA office at 802-655-5030, ext. 100 in late March 2012 or email auditions@vyo.org to schedule an audition appointment beginning in late March 2012.
Note: Placement in Presto does not require an audition, but students may audition if they wish.
